I was blown away with the incredible authenticity, emotion, and energy that Rumours of Fleetwood Mac, a cover band officially endorsed by Mick Fleetwood himself, brought to their performance. Not only did they deliver on the big hits, such as Go Your Own Way or Don't Stop, but they dug deep into Fleetwood Mac's rich catalog to perform some other less-well-known gems. Their performance included almost every song on the Rumours and Tango in the Night albums, as well as many others:
- Big Love
- Dreams
- Say You Love Me
- Tango in the Night
- Songbird
- The Chain
- Sara
- My Little Demon
- Oh Daddy
- Gold Dust Woman
- Black Magic Woman
- Monday Morning
- Isn't It Midnight
- Silver Springs
- Second Hand News
- Gypsy
- As Long as You Follow
- Rooms on Fire - a Stevie Nicks song (not Fleetwood Mac)
- You Make Loving Fun
- Seven Wonders
- Landslide
- Little Lies
- World Turning
- Everywhere
- Go Your Own Way
- Rhiannan
- Don't Stop
- Tusk
Wow, what a line-up! I really appreciated how they included lesser-known tracks like Monday Morning, Second Hand News, As Long as you Follow, Seven Wonders, and Tusk. Sara, from the Tusk album, is an incredibly powerful and emotion-filled song and Jess Harwood, lead vocalist (for Stevie Nicks songs), really brought it to life. Similarly, RFM gave an exquisite performance of touching tracks like Songbird, Silver Springs, and Landslide. I was also excited to see them play tribute to Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac with a performance of the iconic Black Magic Woman. From their tight Mick Fleetwood-style drumming to their rich and authentic vocals, they really do capture the essence of Fleetwood Mac.
It is abundantly clear that Rumours of Fleetwood Mac understands the power, depth, and timeless quality of Fleetwood Mac's catalog; they are the premiere way to enjoy this classic music today and I would highly recommend watching their videos and attending a show if they visit your area!
